Developing a new scientific method that brings innovation to the field of special education or applying a known method to a different field.
To be able to critically analyze, synthesize and evaluate new and complex ideas put forward in the field of Special Education.
To be able to make informed contribution by doing original research to solve a problem in Special Education.
To be able to perform original and interdisciplinary studies in the field of Special Education independently or as a team member and to be able to lead the studies when necessary.
Developing new ideas, methods and models related to the field using high level mental processes such as creative and critical thinking, problem solving and decision making.
Ability to act in accordance with ethical rules in the production and sharing of information in teaching processes.
Developing and implementing effective instructional strategies in order to bring the knowledge and skills related to special education to students.
Establishing functional communication with related persons and institutions by using strategic decision-making processes in solving problems related to special education field.
To graduate from one of the Education of the Mentally Handicapped, Teaching of the Visually Impaired, Teaching of the Hearing Impaired, Special Education Teaching and Gifted Education Undergraduate Programs or to have completed the Special Education Non-Thesis Master’s Program. To have received at least 55 points from ALES in the type of program applied for, or to have received an equivalent score from an exam accepted as equivalent by the Council of Higher Education.
In order to graduate from the master’s program with thesis, at least 7 courses and seminar courses must be taken, one of which is scientific research method and publication ethics, provided that not less than 120 ECTS credits in total; The thesis work must be accepted in the defense before the jury.
