Molecular and medical genetics is a multidisciplinary, constantly evolving science and explores the basic properties, structures and functions of living molecules, interactions with each other, and cellular responses resulting from interaction. The purpose of this department is to understand molecular basis of diseases stem from genetic disorders by studying the structure and functions of DNA, RNA, proteins and their interactions with each other in the healthy functioning of cells and organisms. Understanding of these mechanisms at the molecular level makes an important contribution to the treatment and diagnosis process. For the development of personalized therapies, it is indispensable for the emergence of cellular mechanisms by understanding intracellular and intercellular signals.
In order to graduate from the master’s program with thesis, at least 7 courses and seminar courses must be taken, one of which is a course covering scientific research methods and publication ethics, with a total of 120 ECTS credits; The thesis work must be accepted in the defense before the jury.
