Pharmaceutical Technology is the science that investigates the scientific basis, industrial production, and clinical application of synthetic and natural drug active ingredients to become a drug form that can be administered to the patient. Courses and researches, especially Pharmaceutical nanotechnology, development of conventional and controlled/modified release drug forms, new drug delivery systems, applications of biotechnology in drug research and development, bioavailability, bioequivalence, pharmacokinetics, dissolution determinations, industrial drug production, quality controls, shelf life and stability determination, sterile drug production, good manufacturing practices, radiopharmaceuticals, and similar topics. This Ph.D. program, which will contribute to the careers and development of students, is basically 4 years, with 2 years of lectures and 3 years of thesis. The courses will be very useful especially for those who will attend the Pharmaceutical industry and the courses are organized according to the spare time of the students. Thesis topics that use current and new technologies based on problem solving are given priority. Care is taken to support theses with projects and it is aimed to provide students with experience in this direction. It is aimed for students to participate in the Pharmaceutical Technology working network by aiming to work in partnership with industry or other universities.
To be a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy. To have at least 75 points from ALES in the type of program applied for, or to have an equivalent score from an exam whose equivalence is accepted by the Higher Education Council. To have a score of at least 65 from YDS or to have an equivalent score from an exam recognized as its equivalence by the Higher Education Council.
To gain PhD degree students should take at least 7 courses and seminar course should complete total 240 ECTS including 120 ECTS of thesis of PhD and student should defense of thesis and pass the oral exam in front of Jury in the last semester of program.
